Recruitment
Want to help change how business legal advice is delivered?
Business law shouldn’t be measured by how many documents get produced or how many hours get logged. It should be measured by whether clients understand their options, make better decisions, manage risk, and move forward.
That’s why LEAD is looking for a lawyer or attorney with at least three years of experience at a business law firm — someone who wants to do high-quality legal work and, at the same time, help shape how legal advice is performed and delivered.
LEAD isn’t built around billable hours and disconnected tools. We’re building our practice around a proprietary operating system for legal work. Not because technology is the point, but because it makes the advice better, more efficient, and genuinely tailored to what clients actually need.
The value lies in understanding the client’s problem, solving what needs to be solved, and helping the business move forward.
The role
At LEAD, you’ll primarily work with high-quality advisory in commercial and corporate law. You’ll have close client contact, take ownership of matters, and contribute with legal analysis, commercial judgment, and clear deliverables.
But the role doesn’t stop there.
At LEAD, lawyers are also involved in developing how legal work is done. That might mean spotting patterns in recurring advisory work, structuring knowledge, improving workflows, or collaborating with our developers to build better ways to deliver legal services.
You don’t need to know how to code. You need to want to build and improve how legal advice is practiced and delivered.
Who we're looking for
You have at least three years of experience from a business law firm, ideally in commercial, corporate, or adjacent areas.
You’re confident in legal analysis, but you don’t think law gets better by making it more complicated than it needs to be. You’re precise, commercially minded, and pragmatic. You’re comfortable working close to the client’s business — where questions are often complex, decisions matter, and answers need to be clear.
You can make complexity understandable. You help clients see their options, grasp the risks, and find a way forward. You care about predictability — for clients and colleagues alike — and you take responsibility for maintaining quality all the way through.
We also expect you to be genuinely curious about how legal work can be done better. Maybe you’ve already noticed inefficient processes, unnecessary manual work, or knowledge that never gets captured. Maybe you’ve thought that there has to be a smarter way to work — without compromising on quality.
That’s the kind of person we’re looking for.
This is a good fit if you want to
- Join early in a practice that's still taking shape and constantly evolving.
- Influence how the firm works, grows, and creates value for each client.
- Work closely with senior advisors and our developers.
- Build something that isn't constrained by how law firms usually operate.
- Help ensure that every engagement makes the next one sharper, faster, and more structured.
- Be part of a team with high standards and low ego.
This probably isn't the right fit if you want to
- Step into a finished structure where everything is already decided.
- Have clearly defined tasks and let someone else drive the development.
- Work the same way you always have.
- Keep legal work separate from business development, tech, and process.
Why this might be right for you
We learn continuously, share feedback openly, and help each other raise the bar. If you like pace, clarity, and real responsibility, we think you’ll be comfortable here.
At LEAD, you’re not just taking a role at a firm. You get to help shape how the firm works, how delivery evolves, and how the system around legal advice gets built.
